Making your own lotions and potions can be such a great way to customize your favorite beauty products into your very own masterpiece. I love trying deliciously scented body scrubs and hand lotions and trying to duplicate them at home – with my own personalized spin. They can make great additions to your beauty product stash as well as make for great gifts! I use mason jars to jazz up my homemade, DIY products when giving to my friends and family. If it’s for me, well, I just use whatever reusable container I can find. Here are my favorite DIY beauty products you can try at home.

You can adjust the measurements to make more or less of any product, and you know exactly what ingredients are being used on your body. I can’t see any other reason to try one of these great recipes for yourself – other than how little they cost you for larger portions! Set up a weekend with your girlfriends to come over and make some yummy products together. Then decide whether you’ll keep them for yourself, or give them away as gifts.
